Shoaib Akhtar's Ball Tampering Scandal in 5th ODI against England

Shoaib Akhtar Ball Tampering Scandal: A British newspaper again alleges Pakistani speed star Shoaib Akhtar of ball tampering in the Fifth One Day International.

Pictures brought on screen by the Daily Mail Online, showed that Shoaib tried to tamper the seam with his left hand thumbnail in the 41st over of the match as he prepared to bowl to Collingwood. Then he polished the ball against his thigh, but instead of holding the ball between his thumb and forefinger, he dug his nails into the seam and then dropped it on the ground. Then he stood on the ball.

Shoaib bowled brilliantly and quite economically in the last ODI sending three English batsmen back to pavilion including captain Andrew Strauss.
Four years ago he was filmed by Sky cameras flicking at the ball with his thumb during a one-day international here against England.

Mel B Voices Her Shrek Regrets and Pregnancy Humiliation

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown has one big regret this year. She wishes she had passed up the invite to the premiere of ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy's film, Shrek Forever After, this spring.

In her new reality TV show Mel B: It’s a Scary World, which premieres tonight on the Style Network, the former Spice Girl admits that coming face-to-face with Murphy on the red carpet was difficult. Murphy is the father of her 3-year-old daughter Angel Iris. The two went through a bitter paternity battle over their Angel with Murphy officially being declared Angel's dad.

In a session with a counselor, Mel B opens up about the pregnancy and the decision to attend the premiere.

"We got asked to go to the Shrek premiere and I didn't expect her real biological father to all of a sudden pop back into our life," she reveals. "In my mind I fought so hard for justice at the very beginning of my pregnancy. I was hanging my head in shame because people were going, 'Is that the father or isn't it?' Do I really want to be on a red carpet yet again, entertaining everybody else's world, like, 'We're a happy family' and 'Ooh, Eddie's back in our life?'"

The entire decision process brought back all the pain from her pregnancy that Mel was ultimately able to work through.

"I had no choice," she says. "It brings up all that pain and all that hurt that I went through by myself, pregnant. I had to move to the beach, I had paparazzi following me everywhere, I had people calling me a golddigger, saying that I got pregnant on purpose; it was a horrible time."

Look for Mel B: It’s a Scary World debut tonight at 7 / 8 CST on the Style network.

Mariska Hargitay Joins cast of Law & Order: L.A

Mariska Hargitay crosses over…..

The actress recently announced that she will be joining the cast of the new t.v. series Law & Order: Los Angeles. Mariska already has a recurring role on the New York branch of the series as Detective Benson…but will be taking her undercover skills to the sunshine state.

“I got to work with them yesterday. They have an incredible cast…I think it’s going to be strong right out of the gate.” Mariska told E! Online.

She also added that her guest story line in the show will be based on her real-life work with rape victims.

“We are doing the show about the backlog of untested rape kits. It’s something people don’t know about. After a woman’s been raped and goes through a four- to six-hour very traumatizing and invasive procedure you would expect it gets tested. But often times, most of the times, they sit on a shelf in a police facility. It’s something my foundation is trying to change, to eradicate the backlog.”

We don’t know how long she’s going to be on the show….but this should be good!
